There’s a fantastic bunch of people I’ve created a basic WordPress blog for, and they come together as the Gallatown Community Group. The group operates alongside Kirkcaldy YMCA in an area of high poverty, as indicated by the Scottish Poverty Index. I was proud to support them with a website and provide additional IT support to the management of their group, streamlining financial administration, especially.
Update
I’ve since spent two years as Chairperson and then moved on to become the key administrator of the group. My official role is “secretary”, but I will be changing that to treasurer soon. I intend to handle the group’s administration while I launch my own website and return to WordPress development.
